Health, Safety & Environmental Management plays an integral part in the core business of CSV Construction, resulting in an increased awareness of health and safety initiatives throughout the organisation.
SERVICE OVERVIEW
For the past 20 years a dedicated health, safety and environmental department has ensured that the highest standards are maintained.
The increased awareness allows for health, safety and environmental challenges being shared by all employees and the Company has seen the benefits of this. As contracts have become more stringent in terms of the health, safety and environmental requirements, CSV’s focus on these items has played an important part in the long-term, healthy relationships with clients.
This department forms a vital pillar of the organisation in providing successful projects to its clients and is indeed key to a sustainable and competent workforce, proud to be employees of such a diverse company.
CSV Construction has its own internal SHEQ Management systems which are incorporated throughout all its projects. CSV Construction currently employs 5 fulltime Health and Safety Officers in the process of being registered with the South African Council for Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP). CSV Construction also employs 2 full time Environmental Management professionals, both with degrees in Environmental Management
CSV Construction is not an accredited ISO 18000 company, but has a fully functional team of professionals headed by Jaco van Dam, a registered Construction Health and Safety Manager with the SACPCMP. This department forms a vital pillar of the organisation in providing successful projects to its clients and is indeed key to a competent workforce, proud to be employees of such a diverse company.

ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
CSV Construction is committed to preserving the environment and employs environmental officers, headed by Jaco van Dam, to monitor and manage sites to minimise the impact that construction activities have on the environment. Although, not being an accredited ISO 14 0001 company, the company still ensures that environmental management strategies are carefully developed and implemented, focusing on each individual contract and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation.
The Company ensures that strict control are enforced and set targets for a green future with immense benefits not just for the environment, but also for the employees and its clients.
QUALITY CONTROL
CSV Construction implements an internal quality management process that actively monitors and improves workmanship on projects. The Company is not an accredited ISO 9001 company, but still manages to ensure compliance with its systems by implementing procedural requirements, control and measurement initiatives as well as corrective and preventative actions. The Company dedicates itself in providing projects that is built as per the requirements of the client specifications using reputable products and service providers. It actively manages quality on all phases of a project and instills the confidence of a professional team that is proud to hand over successful projects to its clients.
