Another successful Kicking for Peace event took place on Human Rights Day, 21 March 2015. School kids from Stellenbosch, Somerset West, Macassar, Kayelitsha, Langa, Gugulethu, Delft, Lavendar Hill and Manenberg took part in the event and each participant received a Kicking for Peace Medal.
250 boys and girls from 10 different areas of Cape Town took part in a Kicking for Peace Event on the 22nd March 2014. The Provincial Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport was the main sponsor of the event, providing transport, food and medals for all participants. The next Kicking for Peace event will take place on the weekend before the World Cup.
World Peace Day
World Peace Day was commemorated on the 21st September 2013 with the Kicking for Peace event at the Fives Futbol Venue at Promenade Mall in Mitchells Plain. More than 250 children participated in the Futsal Tournament, made up of a under 9’s, 11’s, 13’s, 15’s and a girls team.
